2008 CLub Tournament

The 2008 Annual Club Tennis Tournament was held on Sunday 13th July.
WIth the new clubhouse recently opened the balcony was full of spectators and a great days tennis was played.
Richard Guy overcame Ian McAuley in a tough 3 set match to win the Men's Veterans and Faye beat Jo in the Veterans Ladies Singles.
Lisa key beat Mousaka in the Ladies Singles and Ollie Sellers beat the reigning champion Scott Key. Ollie has been coached by Scott for several years so it was a great testament to his coaching that Ollie came through in a great match.
Lisa and Paige beat Ellaine and Jo in the Ladies doubles and Paige became the youngest winner in a Senior Club Tournament. Well done Paige.
The Mixed Doubles was won by Lisa ( Lisa third success of the day ) and Richard who beat Kylie and Chris in another tight match.
Due to Injury the Men's Doubles final will be played at a later date.
