I am a member of the “One Step Ahead Coaching” team. I am a qualified and licensed LTA Coach. I have over 25 years experience of coaching adults and children including three years in Germany. I have worked at Norman Green Tennis Centre, West Warwicks and finally Solihull Arden and Tudor Grange. I play socially at Knowle and Dorridge Club where I am Ladies squash Captain. My main role within the coaching team is managing the Club Programme and administration. I am a member of the Warwickshire Management Committee and also represent Management on the Warwickshire Events Committee. I am a season ticket holder at Aston Villa FC. I am looking forward to this opportunity at West Warwicks Club.
I am part of the quartet of LTA professional licensed tennis coaches forming the ‘One Step Ahead Coaching’ team. With 20 years experience I have worked in premier racket centres including Norman Green & Billesley indoor tennis centres covering all aspects of tennis. In the year 2000, I was given the job of setting up Development / Performance programme working along side Gary Naughton at Solihull Arden Club. I developed strong links with schools within the community. This was very successful with many juniors developing from mini tennis through to County, Regional & National level. It was recognised by the LTA as one of the best junior coaching programmes in the country. Gaining my LTA Club Coach Development Award (CCAD) in 2001, complimented my ECA & DCA qualifications. In 2011 I also gained my LTA level 3 play test award and the under 10 performance course. I believe my pupil’s success is in part due to my ability to communicate effectively with players, of varying abilities, making their tennis learning experience progressive and enjoyable. Excited at the prospect of ‘One Step Ahead Coaching’ working at a club with professional standards and excellent facilities. I look forward to a new challenge coaching at West Warwicks sports club.
