Microsoft Word - Club Night 1.docx

West Warwicks Sports Club has had a long and illustrious history in the game of squash. The 6 times world champion and most successful player in the history of British squash used the club as his training base for 20 years in the 70s and the 80s.

This sparked an astonishing period of success for the club with 2 top 30 world ranked players being brought through the junior programme that the club has developed over a period of many years. The club are the current men’s and ladies Warwickshire champions and every team at the club finished top of there respective division. There is a professional academy run in the mornings where members can watch at least 4 or 5 of the worlds top professionals train and be coached every morning.

Squash is a game everyone can play, you don’t need expensive equipment, shoes are around 30 to 40 pounds and need to be clean none marking soles, a racket can be purchased for anything between 20 and 130 pounds and with love and care should last at least 3 or 4 years !

The great attraction with squash is that whatever you’re standard; from beginner to advanced you can have long rallies and a great work out during the 40 minute court session. Booking a court is free and simple using the new online system. This means courts can be booked from your phone, the club or the comfort of your own home. Each court is booked for 40 minutes and vary from 8 days in advance to a court that’s booked on the day to guarantee a game every day of the week if you so wish.
